One of the main client requirements was to get spacious, functionally open, yard-oriented house, closed towards the street. The rectangular shape of the site, with a longer side facing the street, offered the opportunity for an atypical design. International style in architecture gave the inspiration to design an object of simple appearance with white and pure volumes. The linear layout of the building along the street with an intense horizontal architectural form makes this building notable. Since the north side of the site is facing the street, the long street facade front is designed with a minimum number of openings, which gives the building a sculptural character. In this way, the house with the pool is completely facing the private yard with a peaceful view of the southern landscape. House is made as a concrete construction of pillars and beams, with accentuated extruded elements on the street and courtyard facade, which are additionally emphasized by a different treatment of the ground floor facade. A massive pergola with dominant steel "V" posts and steel girders with glulam beams enhances the impression of pronounced horizontality and forms a new ambience outside the house, which becomes part of the living room. As the house is horizontally divided in the exterior, it is vertically connected in the interior by a two-story space in the kitchen area, a concrete staircase and a bridge on the upper floor, which creates a specific interior ambience, atypical for family houses. Leveling the terrain in the part of the back yard enables natural lighting and ventilation of the basement room, intended for organizing the gym or work office. The functional organization of the house itself contributed to the design and defined the main motifs in the interior. Monochrome ceilings and floors are complemented by lighting, paneling and pieces of furniture in a wooden pattern. Additional dynamics of the space is created by shadows from movable and fixed blinds on windows in the kitchen.
